London Part II: Sightseeing

I can't visit a city without visiting the famous sites. It's the most touristy thing to do when visiting any city but you have to do it. Who doesn't want to see what all the fuss is about. Who doesn't like to be the annoying one and be abele to say I been there. I love it when I see a tv show and the tower bridge is on and I can say 'I saw that in real life'. For everybody else it's no fun, I know. Rolling their eyes and thinking 'here we go again'. But for the one who is saying it (and like everybody else, I like that one to be me) it's so much fun. Seeing a famous site in real life, brings it to life. It's not just a prop on a tv show or movie anymore. It's a real thing that makes the tv show or movie more real.

So a few months ago when I was in London (eye roll) I did exactly that. I went touristy, nothing wrong with that. I do love doing things that are not touristy and that show the real life in a city or country too, you learn more about the culture. But if you went on a trip and did only that, how can you make your friends jealous? That was a joke,  seriously, I'm not doing things to make my friends jealous, that would make me a bad friend, I love my friends. But I bet some of you agreed, right? It's double isn't it? You want to talk about the trip you made and show them photos but you don't want to make them jealous. In some cases talking about it makes them jealous and not talking about it is like you don't want to share things with them. So either way you are a bad friend. Solution: travel together.

I don't know how this blog became about friendship. Just love and cherish your friends. Don't make them jealous deliberately and be happy for each other.
So, I went sightseeing in London. I didn't want to press all of my London photos in one blog, I just took too much photos. That's way this one is part II. Ok, enough bad writing, here are my best photos.

Changing of the guards, Buckingham Palace, could see a thing
because of all the people

A little to late, but I got a photo of the guards

Underwater life

Almost 70% of the world is water. It's divided in fresh water like rivers, lakes and ponds and salt water in the seas and oceans. It's an impressive number. The thought that we humans, all 7 320 414 500 and counting, are living on only 30% of the surface of this earth is even more impressive. Let's stop and wait for a minute. If so much people and even more animals and insects live on 30%.  How much life is there in that other 70% of the world?

We humans that are not skilled in diving or can't afford to go under the water with a submarine, only know a little about what is going on. The only things we do know are things we can see because of fish tanks in zoos, aquariums, sea life centers and documentaries. The only thing we all know for sure is that it's a magical world. With the fantasy of mermaids is kept alive by Disney. And who knows maybe...they do exist?

I'm one of those many people that isn't skilled in diving. God, no. Even snorkeling freaks me out. And no I can't afford a submarine to take me to all those beautiful places on the sea. So like every other person out there, I need to go to a zoo to see fish in action. No special cameras needed, no special effects. Just a lot of patients and good timing gives you access to beautiful photos.

If you want to take photos in an aquarium, you can't use your flash. Even when you shoot in automatic try to get your ISO up. Otherwise you are going to wait for a very long time for a very blurry picture without any fish. Fish aren't that fast so a shutter time of 1/the length of your objective will do. The diaphragm depends on what you want, good lighting on a lower ISO or a good depth of field. That's totally up to you.
